I offer a variety of art classes and delivery methods. I teach from my studio as well as the Sagebrusher studio, I do residencies in schools or for large groups and I have a You Tube channel for those of you outside of the central Oregon area. Please scroll down to find the option best for you!
I have a California and an Oregon art teaching credential. I have taught high school to preschool and even adults! I love to encourage others to find their own artist voice. So all the projects have many creative choices, either in material selection, design or mark making, each artists is encouraged to do it the way they feel it! There is no mistake in art. It is a process. All my lesson will incorporate components of art history and appreciation, as well as production. Many of them are integrated with other disciplines. I believe art is no different from the other subjects we teach, it begins with the fundamentals. All lesson will focus on 1 or more of the art elements and or principles of design. Family Art Day at Sagebrushers

Children 6 – 99 are welcome.
6–10-year-olds, should be accompanied by an adult or an older sibling.
Abstract Self Portraits. Learn how to use the lines and shapes from the letters of your name to create an abstract painting. Paint on black paper using bold, bright colors and patterns while learning about values, color mixing and texture.

Home and After school Art Sessions
Private and group classes can be arranged with me so the days and times can best serve you. That way we can work together to create a very open learning experience of exploring and discovery. My teaching style encourages artists to find their own styles and form of expression, while learning the art elements and principles. If you have a student or group who wants to enrich their learning and creative spirit, please contact me to schedule a class and for more information. Pricing is based on the number of students and the type of supplies. Private classes are usually 1.5 hours at 45$ (depending on materials.) Group classes are limited to 8 students and cost is based on the number of participants and time.

YouTube videos are designed for students ages 5 and up; and for any teacher looking for new and different art projects for your students. You are never too old for creating fun and unique art. All the courses are built around learning art history, appreciation and creativity. The materials are very flexible and there is a lot of creative choices for the artists, not just in the design but in the execution of the projects. Don’t forget to subscribe while you are there!
Residencies
Drawing, painting and sculpture projects are available. I have been working in the schools in central Oregon for the last 15 years providing quality art education. I was the art specialist at Sister Elementary school for 8 years and before that worked with the Art Station in Bend doing Residencies. I love creating lessons for your needs and working with your curriculum. Art history, appreciation and production are always present in each residency.
